Trip Notes to Genting Highlands from Kuala Lumpur by Ibextrails Team in Late 2019
This trip was undertaken in October 2019. We took a longer way driving to Batang Kali and then driving up to Genting Highlands. Watch the video recording of this trip (below).
Genting Highlands gets foggy even in the middle of summer as the climb up to the top of the mountain is approximately around 800m.
If you plan to stay in the area for two or more days is enough to explore the interesting destinations of Fraser Hills, Waterfalls, and Bukit Tinggi. A day trip can be easily organized from KL by driving, catching a bus, or organizing.
The following images include temples on the road to Genting Highlands, Chairlift (replaced by cable car in 2018), First World Hotel (the biggest hotel in the world with more than 6000 rooms), Awana Resort, and Genting First World.
We stayed at First World Resort, which is one of the biggest hotels in the world with more than 7000+ Rooms. Mid-week is the best time to book the rooms as you can save up to 50% on room bookings.
